Come join us at the Walla Walla Farmers Market this Saturday, August 18th from 8am to 11am for melon tasting. We will have a variety of local melons donated from our neighboring farmers to sample, from casaba, ananas, galia, to yellow and red watermelons, and green, white and orange honeydew.

What’s your favorite melon?
Yum! Not a real big melon lover- but I wish I was there to try some of these- they look delicious! …. like cantaloupe with proscuitto.
What a fruit basket valley you live in! Cantaloupe is my fav.
I think honeydew is my favorite but I don’t really like melon much. Especially if it gets grainy. I like tarter fruits. Are there any tart melons that I might not know about?
The fresher the fruit, the better chance of avoiding grainy fruit. I don’t know any tart melon varieties, but will let you know if I come across one.
